Itinerary

Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta - Ucayali river

Welcome upon arrival at our private port in Nauta!

We are going to be waiting for you at the airport and will take you to a tourist restaurant for lunch. After a good meal we are going to go to Nauta to board the cruise ship. Our staff will show you your suite. Your suite will be accompanied by cozy beds, sheets made of 100 percent Pima cotton from Peru, cotton bathrobes, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a shower and amenities.

Day 2: Ucayali river - Bagazan lake - Yucurichi

Following breakfast, we'll go for a walk through Yucuruchi and the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where we'll see a variety of local wildlife. We'll return to the boat before noon so that the executive chef can perform a cooking demonstration. Anyone interested in learning more about the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve can attend a talk after lunch. In the afternoon, you can participate in river kayaking and swimming trips or a skiff trip to Bagazan Lake.

Day 3: Ucayali river - Yarapa river - Amazon river - Marañon river

We'll head out to investigate the Yarapa River before breakfast, where the renowned pink and gray river dolphins swim in the dark waters. After returning to the boat, we'll have breakfast before visiting Vista Alegre. With the aid of our guides, who also serve as interpreters, we will see how the locals live and discover more about their traditions. We can see their butterfly park right here.

Day 4: Disembark in Nauta, flight back to Lima

We'll start disembarking after breakfast. We'll stop at the Amazon Rescue Center (CREA) on the way to the airport, where volunteers and biologists care for manatees, an endangered species that has been rescued by the authorities. We'll observe how the manatees are treated and prepared for reintroduction into the wild. We'll also get to see other animals that were saved from being tried as pets and other perilous circumstances.

Great experience. I loved the huge stones in Sacsayhuaman, and the mixed religions and tales the guide shared.
