Why we do it

One of the main reasons is the love we have for our country. As Peruvians, we strongly believe in the potential Peru has to offer the best travel services and the best tourist attractions for visitors. We have a passion for service and we love working with people.

Therefore, our team has strong values and believes in what we do, and we consider ourselves ambassadors of the Peruvian culture and we want to show Peru to the world.

Why us?

Tourism is about having fun while learning about a place, and we keep that concept throughout your stay in Peru. This is why we’ve chosen the best travel executives to plan it and keep it running smoothly, as well as the best tourism service suppliers who will help us achieve our goal. Our tour guides are all certified English speakers who are extremely knowledgeable. They have extensive field expertise, and we consider them to be the most significant component of our service.

During the years 2020-2021 we have been afflicted by the pandemic’s cruelness. Not only we’ve lost relatives but almost all of our business. Thanks to the resilience and hope this situation has given the world we’ve fought and kept our vision together.

Now, with both feet on the ground, we started operations once more, and although the fluency of tourism has decreased to Peru, we are still fighting and working hard to keep the dream alive!

But above all, we still maintain the spirit that guided us at the beginning, and we want to convey that to our clients. The Incas with the Andean culture left us a vast treasure that we want to share. Our mission is to make sure our clients enjoy their stay in Peru, while learning and discovering a unique world, and we will continue doing what we know for decades since this is what we love to do..

We started out our enterprise officially in 2018, and since then we’ve grown steadily in the travel service industry. I founded Back to Peru with the help of my father, who is a professional tour guide, and my mother, who is the most loving person I have ever met. Both helped me to start a business in an industry we’ve always been related to.

Before that year, we had all been working in tourism and got experience over the years; my mother in hospitality, and my father in guiding tours. I dedicated myself to organizing tour packages for renowned tour operators in Peru, and then, when the time was right, I decided to stop doing that for them, and start doing it for my dream and my family .

How did we start?

We started operations selling our tours to friends living in the United States of America, and through recommendations. During these years, we gained experience and saw weaknesses that guided us to success. We’ve learned that the best way to be sure we are providing good services is by making deep bonds with our tour-guides, our drivers, our representatives and with everybody involved. And we realized that we needed to convey to them our “vision” and our “dream”, which means that we made them part of our expanding family.

Our contribution to society

After a month has passed, we take part of our revenue and share it with a non-profit organization called Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco (CTTC), whose mission is to support the survival of Cusqueñan (local citizens of Cusco) textile traditions and to provide aid to the creators, who are indigenous people organized into weaving communities and on a fair-trade basis. This is a way to help rescue ancestral traditions and encourage the weavers and their work. We contribute to the future of Cusqueñan textile traditions. If you’d like to know more about them and donate directly, please click here.

We invite recent graduates from tourism educational institutions to learn about the travel business so that they can experience the day-to-day operations of our service.  If we have an opening and they like our job, we offer them minor duties inside the “operations department” for a small salary. Once they have consolidated with our core beliefs and procedures we hire them, and they work for us for a period of time till they opt to continue growing.

Our service

About our tours we made a research measuring the remarks some of the tourists that took our tours made, and we found out that group-tours shouldn’t have more than 10 participants and that the tour-guides must be very knowledgeable for each destination. We also learnt that during the process of booking a trip our clients required the information quickly and clearly, so that they could decide in advance what places to visit and which hotel to choose.

We invest time and knowledge in quoting tour packages at no cost. Once we get the client’s confirmation we guide her/him with all the requirements needed to come to Peru, the packing list, the country’s situation, all they need to know before traveling. Once in Peru (Lima or Cusco airport) we make contact and give a welcome briefing. All the activities and transfers are monitored day by day by our dedicated 24th representatives, so you can call us or coordinate last-minute changes at any time.
