Terms and Conditions for Tour Booking

  1. Introduction

Welcome to Back to Peru Travel. These terms and conditions govern the booking of tours through our agency. By making a reservation, you agree to these terms in full.

  1. Booking Process
  • All bookings must be made through our website or via email, as these are our official methods for confirmation.
  • We utilize alternative communication methods exclusively to coordinate your travel arrangements and tours. Please note that these channels are not intended for making bookings.
  • To confirm a booking, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required, for regular tours. For other tours like luxury cruises that demand bigger amounts, the deposit amount may be different and must be agreed in advance with the customer according to the type of tour.
  1. Paying the remaining balance for tours including hotels
  • From 1 to 8 participants, a full payment must be made 45 days before the tour start date.
  • From 8 to more participants, a full payment must be made 70 days before the tour start date.
  • If we do not receive full payment for your reservations within the specified time frame, we cannot guarantee the reservations as stated in your program.
  1. Paying the remaining balance for tours without hotels 
  • From 1 to 8 participants, a full payment must be made 20 days before the tour start date.
  • From 8 to more participants, a full payment must be made 36 days before the tour start date.
  • If we do not receive full payment for your reservations within the specified time frame, we cannot guarantee the reservations as stated in your program.
  1. Booking Confirmation
  • Once the deposit is received, we will send you a booking confirmation via email with all the tour details.
  • The booking confirmation is required to participate in the tour. Please contact us if you did not receive it.
  • We need your final payment on the dates requested to reconfirm all the tour services for those dates. Otherwise, we are not responsible for changes to dates or types of services that it would demand.
  1. Customer Information
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking.
  • Any errors in the information provided may result in the cancellation of the booking without refund. However, we will assist in correcting any errors, with any associated costs being the responsibility of the customer.

Cancellation Policies

  1. Cancellations by the Customer / for tours including hotels. 
  • If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing by email. Other sources are not valid.
  • For regular tours operated by us: Within 0 to 7 days after initial payment $100 per person is non-refundable. This portion of the payment is used for purchasing non-refundable entrance tickets for Machu Picchu, and administrative fees.
  • For tours operated by our third-party partners, cancellation fees will apply in accordance with their policies.
  • For Small Groups (1 to 8 participants): Cancellations made more than 45 days before the tour start date forfeit 30% of the total tour cost.
  • For Small Groups (1 to 8 participants): Cancellations made less than 45 days before the tour start date forfeit 50% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Small Groups (1 to 8 participants): Cancellations made less than 15 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made more than 70 days before the tour start date forfeit 30% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made less than 70 days before the tour start date forfeit 50% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made less than 50 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost. 
  1. Cancellations by the Customer / for tours without hotels. 
  • If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing by email. Other sources are not valid.

  • For Small Groups (1 to 8 participants): Cancellations made less than 5 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made more than 36 days before the tour start date forfeit 30% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made less than 36 days before the tour start date forfeit 50% of the total tour cost. 
  • For Larger Groups (8 to more participants): Cancellations made less than 15 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost. 
  1. Cancellations by the Agency
  • We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to force majeure, adverse weather conditions, lack of participants (not applicable for private tours), or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • In case of cancellation by us, a full refund will be offered, or the option to reschedule the tour to another date.
  1. Booking Modifications
  • Modifications to bookings, such as date or tour changes, are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
  • All modification requests must be made in writing.
  1. Liability
  • “Back to Peru” is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, armed conflicts, acts of terrorism, technical problems, or transport failures.
  1. Insurance
  • We strongly recommend that all customers purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations, accidents, illnesses, and loss of luggage.
  1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
  • By making a booking with “Back to Peru”, the customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
  • These policies aim to ensure clarity and transparency for our customers while protecting our business interests.
