Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Back to Peru Travel. These terms and conditions govern the booking of tours through our agency. By making a reservation, you agree to these terms in full.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

1.- Booking Process

  • All bookings must be made through our website or via email, as these are our official methods for confirmation. We utilize alternative communication methods exclusively to coordinate your travel arrangements and tours. Please note that these channels are not intended for making bookings.
  • To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of $250 USD for regular tours to secure your spot. For other tours that include special trains, luxury cruises, or other that demand bigger amounts, the deposit amount may be different and must be agreed in advance with the customer according to the type of tour.

2.- Paying the remaining balance for tours including hotels

  • From 1 to 12 participants, a full payment must be made 36 days before the tour start date.
  • From 13 to more participants, a full payment must be made 66 days before the tour start date.
  • If we do not receive full payment for your reservations within the specified time frame, we cannot guarantee the reservations as stated in your program.

3.- Paying the remaining balance for tours without hotels

  • From 1 to 12 participants, a full payment must be made 20 days before the tour start date.
  • From 13 to more participants, a full payment must be made 36 days before the tour start date.
  • If we do not receive full payment for your reservations within the specified time frame, we cannot guarantee the reservations as stated in your program.

4.- Booking Confirmation

  • Once the deposit is received, we will send you a booking confirmation via email with all the tour details.
  • The booking confirmation is required to participate in the tour. Please contact us if you did not receive it.
  • We need your final payment on the dates requested to reconfirm all the tour services for those dates. Otherwise, we are not responsible for changes to dates or types of services that it would demand.

5.- Customer Information

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking.
  • Any errors in the information provided may result in the cancellation of the booking without refund. However, we will assist in correcting any errors, with any associated costs being the responsibility of the customer.

6.- Booking Modifications

  • Modifications to bookings made by the customer, such as date or tour changes, are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
  • All modification requests must be made in writing.

7.- Final notes

  • If you have a personalized tour, the booking terms and conditions outlined in the tour quote will also apply, as some third-party services have their own booking and cancellation policies, which will be applicable to your reservation.

CANCELATION POLICIES

  1. Cancellations by the Customer / for tours including hotels. 

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing by email. Other sources are not valid.

First deposits are non-refundable. This portion of the payment is used for purchasing non-refundable entrance tickets for Machu Picchu, and administrative fees.

  • All first deposits to book the tour are non-refundable.
  • For Small Groups (1 to 12 participants): Cancellations made between 1 to 35 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost.
  • For Larger Groups (12 to more participants): Cancellations made between 1 to 65 days before the tour start date forfeit 100% of the total tour cost.
  • For tours operated by our third-party partners, cancellation fees will apply in accordance with their policies.
  1. Cancellations by Back to Peru tour operator

In case of cancellation by us, a full refund will be offered, or the option to reschedule the tour to another date. We reserve the right to cancel a tour in the event of force majeure, adverse weather conditions, or any unforeseen circumstances that may compromise the safety and well-being of our travelers or staff.

Liability

“Back to Peru” is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, armed conflicts, acts of terrorism, technical problems, or transport failures.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that all customers purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations, accidents, illnesses, and loss of luggage. If you are in Europe Heymondo could be an alternative, and if you are in the United Stated you could use Allianz Travel Insurance among others.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with “Back to Peru”, the customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

These policies aim to ensure clarity and transparency for our customers while protecting our business interests.
