I recently completed the 4-day Cusco and Machu Picchu tour with Back to Peru, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation I had. From start to finish, everything felt seamless, personalized, and incredibly well-organized.

He brought every site to life with stories and context that you just wouldn’t get on your own. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and that energy makes a big difference.

And then, of course, Machu Picchu… nothing really prepares you for that moment. Seeing this iconic Inca citadel in person is something else entirely. Machu Picchu is every bit as magical as people say—if not more. The early morning views, the mist lifting over the mountains, and Carlos guiding us through the history of the site made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Logistics throughout the trip were flawless—transfers, trains, hotels, tickets—everything was handled professionally, so I could just relax and enjoy the experience. That’s something I really appreciated, especially in a destination where planning can get complicated.

What stood out most to me was the human touch. This didn’t feel like a generic tour—it felt personal. From Gonzalo’s support behind the scenes to Carlos’s incredible guiding, the whole team made me feel taken care of every step of the way.
